DAL Championships Recap
We had a great day at the League Championship at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez yesterday.
• The young boys teams did a great job of improving their times
• The JV Girls team made a major impact in a very tough league which saw an exciting win by the Girls’ JV, beating powerhouse Campolindo who had won every race in each division.
• Two of our Frosh girls medaled with an impressive third place finish by Freshman Keira Sadur.
• Our Girls’ varsity fought off a very strong Las Lomas team with some superb pack running and ended with a second-place finish only behind State leader Campolindo, and were 2nd overall in the final standings, with four girls taking All League Honors. Our team spread from our fastest girl to our fifth scoring girl was an enviable 41 seconds in comparison to 1:20 for Campolindo and 2:43 for the spread for Las Lomas. This is a tribute to a deep team that rotates its personnel race to race with fluidity in team order with grace and generosity of spirit. We currently have so many fast girls right now we are keeping on twelve over the customary ten, for NCS as we have great depth to our team.
