Northgate High School wrestler Symone Jewell (Class of 2027) was invited to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs this past weekend to train alongside some of the nation’s top athletes and coaches.
Symone earned this exclusive opportunity following her impressive second-place finish at the USA Wrestling 16U National Championships this summer in Fargo, North Dakota — one of the premier youth wrestling tournaments in the country.
During the training camp, she worked with Olympic and World Team coaches and trained alongside national and international-level partners, gaining invaluable experience at one of the sport’s most elite facilities.
“We’re so excited for Symone to have had this opportunity to learn from some of the very best,” said Northgate Wrestling Coach Tim Sanchez. “It’s a great way for her to kick off the season and continue building on her incredible progress.”
Jewell’s hard work and dedication continue to set an example for the Northgate wrestling community as she prepares for the upcoming high school season.
