We have been attending this meet since 1987 and it gets bigger and bigger each year.
Our Girls:
This year our girls were dominant, winning the D3-D5 varsity girls’ section as well the merger with the D1 and D2 results by packing five of our runners into the top 16, led by Junior Olivia Joseph and Senior Natasha Cohen. We outdistanced second place Dougherty Valley by almost 100 points. Five of those girls now populate our All time List of top times on the course.
Our Boys:
The boys also had a great day despite facing off against two of the toughest teams in Division 3, predicted to both have a shot at winning state, Campolindo and Maria Carrillo. Francis Chmielewski led the charge for the Broncos, and ran an impressive time of 10:53 breaking up the Campolindo runners, and that puts him no 7 on our All Time Top Ten list. Not far behind were his team mates with an enviable team spread (distance between the front runner and the fifth man) of 36 seconds, helping them achieve a 5th place finish in a field of 24 teams. In merged results the guys were 10th out of 45 of the schools from all divisions.
