ACADEMIC POLICY AND ACTION PLAN

To be eligible to participate in any sport the following criteria as it pertains to GPA is as follows:
Eligibility Requirements for Student-Athletes
Northgate High School Athletics are open to all students on a competitive basis. To actively participate in athletics, a student-athlete must:
- Have a 2.0 G.P.A. in the grading period immediately preceding that sport season.
- Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. in grading periods during the season.
- Attend classes on day of participation.
In an attempt to help students improve their academic performance, the tennis program requires this “Action Plan” when a participant or a prospective participant has a 2.50 GPA or lower. No league play will be allowed until the action plan is completed to those students with a GPA of 2.50 or less. Student progress will be monitored to determine eligibility for play.
