As the Director of Baseball at Northgate High School, my goal is to teach life lessons through Baseball to build Championship Charachter to preprepare these fine young men for their future endeavors. Communication with the players will always be open and we will encourage them to take on the responsibility to confront us with any issues they may have. The program coaches are prohibited from discussions with parents or the community about individual players, positions or playing time, Period. This is crucial for the growth of the student and the "family growth" of the program. This policy instills a responsibility trait and charachter values that will last a lifetime. With the help of E-Mail, YouTube, Facebook, and our baseball website tools, I will try to provide regular updates, news, and information to all stake holders. My goal is to build a "Program" which will include program wide Championship baseball fundamentals, Charachter development, and life lessons with academic resources to succeed now and in the future. In addition we will provide guidance and realistic expectations for Baseball after high school. Thank you for your support and please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns! -- Tim Jochner
The Northgate Baseball Coaches will try to help in any way to guide its players on a path for success to continue playing Baseball after High School. We will be as involved as you want us to be and will give you our opinion as to what level would be appropriate for our players to transfer into. Everyone wants to play Division 1 baseball, and then off to the major leagues, but the reality is that only .0045 of Northgate Players have moved on to Division 1 Baseball and only .0009 to the major leagues. We want our players to continue playing Baseball and are committed to helping them achieve this goal. Please fill out the Baseball Continuation form and the coaching staff will evaluate and meet with the player and parents to help chart a successful course.
