Ted Abbott Field

Ted Abbott Field, named after Northgate High School's first Baseball coach Ted Abbott, was built in 1974 and is one of the premeir baseball fields in the Bay Area. The dimensions of the field are 315 feet down the lines, 365 feet to the alleys, and 400 feet to center field. Below are the improvements made to the facility in the last decade.

  • 2010 - 2011
    • Pitching mound and home plate rebuilt
    • Home and visitor's bullpens rebuilt
    • 50 yards of cinder dirt added to warning track
    • 30 yards of infield dirt mix added to infield
    • Historical banners added to backstop poles
    • 20 trees planted around field
    • Tanbark added around field
  • 2009 - 2010
    • Pitching mound and home plate repaired
    • Home and visitor's bullpens repaired
    • Gravel added around field
  • 2008 - 2009
    • Outfield grass leveled, overseeded, fertilized, and aerated
    • Backstop and dugouts painted
  • 2007 - 2008
    • Pitching mounds and home plate rebuilt
    • Home and visitor's bullpens rebuilt
    • Flag pole added
    • New sound system installed
