The Diablo Valley Athletic League (DVAL) was formed in 2008 and is made up of seven high schools from the Contra Costa County. Six schools are from the Mount Diablo Unified School District: Northgate High School, Concord High School, Mt. Diablo High School, Clayton Valley High School, Ygnacio Valley High School, and College Park High School. Berean Christian High School, a private school in Walnut Creek, is the seventh high school in the DVAL.
